Likely only the only person who will care about this is Matt.
For anyone using an adapter, you'll (very) soon or should have already needed the newer model, the OBi200 to continue connecting to Google Voice.
For anyone else looking to continue connecting their Asterisk PBX, this looks promising:

Is this any different than the oauth 2 support already in the motif driver in freepbx? |

Rumor is they are dropping xmpp support ... I know this has been forecasted before. And the new method appears to be very sip like.
For what its worth, my shit is still working (xmpp and no oauth)

From a Google Employee named Dave:
Quote: | Starting on June 18, 2018, we will finish migrating the last of our XMPP interop capabilities for Google Voice to the new Voice platform. This migration will enable us to create powerful new VoIP features that will both benefit and delight Voice users.
If you use Google Voice with a supported device using the XMPP interop capability, please contact your vendor to determine the best migration path to avoid a service disruption. |

Matt,
Have you any experience / tips with bridging an obi200 to asterisk?
I have been reading mixed reports. Curious if you have already been down this road and know what works? |
